This was my first (unsuccessful) attempt at making the electric rocket. The construction of the plates for this device used the cookie cutter technique.

Warning - This device was not successful. I did not have access to the full plans and had to improvise. As I now know, my improvisations made for a very different device than one which would work.

The Electric Rocket (my non-working version)

This is the device. I stopped construction at 100 complete layers (a layer consisting of a positive and a negative plate and the intervening layers of waxed paper).

In the side view picture above you can see the 100 layers sandwiched in between the two circular pieces of wood.
