For a few experiments I needed a remote temperature sensor or remote thermometer. At Home Depot I found one that came in two parts: a control unit with the temperature displayed on an LCD screen and a small temperature sensor on the end of a 10 foot wire. It's capable of displaying both celsuis and fahrenheit scales. The price was around $13.00CDN.
